Our Projects

Gandara Fishery Harbour Detailed Designs

MGC was instrumental in reviewing initial layouts proposed during the feasibility stage of the project, and also carried out all stakeholder consultations during this period. We undertook all necessary surveys and investigations and drew up detailed engineering designs of the offshore facilities, along with the Engineer’s Estimate for the total project including shore facilities. The detailed design was finalized following a comprehensive presentation to all stakeholders.

Colombo Port City Project – Maritime Civil Works

MGC is assisting the Employer’s Representative – Royal Haskoning DHV, in ensuring that the Contractor carries out the design of the maritime works of the project to the employer’s specifications, while providing reliability and performance to the employer’s expectations. MGC also sourced national key professional staff and support staff for the on going project, with all maritime civil works scheduled to be completed in 2019.

South Container Terminal Construction for the Colombo Port Expansion Project

MGC assisted AECOM – the Employer’s Representative – in ensuring that the Contractor carried out the design and construction of the South Terminal of the Colombo Port to the Employer’s specifications. This included electrical supply (including sub -stations, and switchgear), water supply, sewerage, storm -water drainage, fire – fighting system including underground hydrant system, high mast area lighting, administration,workshop & maintenance buildings, sub-stations, fuel storage and re-fuelling facilities, along with Customs and Police posts. MGC also sourced all national key professional staff and support staff for  the project, and was instrumental in the procurement of equipment.

Development of Jetty Facility at Mirissa and Kudawella Fishery Harbours

MGC carried out the design of the jetties, and was also the employer’s representative to the contractor in both projects. The feasibility study and design work included stakeholder consultations, requirement identification, geotechnical investigations and environmental assessments. The preparation of tender documentation as per ICTAD/ Sri Lanka conditions was carried out by MGC along with the Engineer’s Estimate, Bill of Quantities, bid notices, evaluations and recommendations to client. The project was successfully concluded with the submission of the Project Completion Report.
